Sometimes all it takes is a moment – and many dedicated people – to make a truly big difference. Our fundraising campaign for children in South Africa impressively demonstrates what can be achieved when passion, team spirit, and a common goal come together.
As part of our inne® event “Our Heart Beats Ping Pong,” something special was created together with 1. FC Saarbrücken Tischtennis. Supported by international top players like Patrick Franziska and Fan Zhendong, as well as the entire team, an impressive donation sum of 10,000 Euros was collected for a good cause.
A sum that not only impresses – but above all, makes a difference.
Today, we see how much was made possible by this fundraising campaign for children in South Africa – and how concretely it changes the lives of children.
In Cape Town, the so-called Inspire Land could be further developed – a place where children can grow, learn, and experience community.
A central component is newly created gardens where children not only spend time but actively learn what healthy eating means. The harvest from these gardens helps provide daily meals for around 100 children.
At the same time, a table tennis sports arena was built – a space for movement, exchange, and joy. Equipped with tables, rackets, and balls, a place was created here that connects sports and community. This was realized in close cooperation with 1. FC Saarbrücken Tischtennis, who actively supported this project.
This initiative shows how effectively sports and social projects can be combined for children. Movement not only creates health but also self-confidence, perspectives, and cohesion.
It is precisely projects like these that highlight the importance of holistic child development – physically, socially, and emotionally.
